Research, Learning, Art, Cause

Nipples/areola aren't just two colored and shaded circles with little white dot highlights.  They aren't all perfectly rosy and circular and smooth.  They aren't all 'proportioned perfectly' to a woman's breast size either.  They are just about as unique to person as their fingerprint.  My goal is to give each person a more realistic nipple/areola reconstructive tattoo.  In order to do that, we need to research and render as many native (meaning nipples people are born with) nipples as we can.  I don't want to pull out the circle stencil anymore.  Let's get real.

Here is what I need:  100 women and 100 men of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities to volunteer.

What you will be asked to do:

Come see us personally for a quick couple close-up photos of your breast area;  1 of each side and one frontal of both breasts.  Or if you feel comfortable submitting via technology, we can do that as well.  No faces. Unless you want to take a funny selfie with me after our meetup.

I will ask you to complete a questionnaire as part of the research...nothing too personal, but some information that will provide a baseline for creating a more lifelike areola/nipple reconstructive tattoo.

We will render them in a portraiture manner as part of broadening our scope and evolving into better tattooers for the breast cancer community.  The renderings will be framed and once we have 200 completed renderings, we will have a simple showing of them all!!!!  So excited! And then!  Each person will receive the rendering for their own keepsake, if they please.

Additionally, we will be creating a "Portfolio of Nipples" for clients to help determine and choose the look of their tattooed nipple/s.

We feel a responsibility to build and improve on what's been done traditionally.

So, volunteer!  Tell your friends and family to volunteer!

Now, don't just willy-nilly start sending us photos!  Contact us at thenippleproject00@gmail.com, FB message,  or text Kat McCulloch at 832-594-6907 and say "Hi" first, would ya!!

Anyway---let's do this.  Help me give people more lifelike nipples!!

Thanks a bunch—Kat McCulloch
